Welcome to RUC’n Roll, a Road User Charges Notification service ("App"), a specialized service provided exclusively for Tesla vehicle owners in New Zealand to assist in managing and staying informed about their Road User Charges (RUC). These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the App and the services provided through it. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The App is intended to provide notifications and information regarding RUC specifically for Tesla vehicle owners. The User agrees to use the App lawfully and in compliance with these Terms. The User must not misuse the App by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, or other malicious material.
To access certain features of the App, Users are required to link their Tesla Account to enable the App to read the odometer readings from their Tesla vehicle. Users must ensure that they have the right to share such information and that their use of the App does not violate any agreement with Tesla, Inc.
Users must register and create an account within the App to utilize its features. Users must provide accurate and complete information, including valid Tesla Account credentials. The security of the account is the User's responsibility, and any activities under the account will be attributed to the User.
The App provides notifications to Users regarding their RUC obligations based on the odometer readings fetched from their Tesla vehicle. While we aim to provide accurate and timely information, we cannot guarantee the reliability or timeliness of such notifications. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with RUC requirements.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of the App provider and its licensors. The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use only.
The User's privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, including data retrieved from the Tesla Account, will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The App provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services.
The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the App provider, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to the User's use of the App, including but not limited to the sharing of Tesla Account data.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The User will be notified of any changes and continued use of the App following such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
We may terminate or suspend access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if the User breaches the Terms or if the integration with the Tesla Account is revoked or becomes non-functional.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
